The famous fictitious character of Bram Stoker’s book– Dracula has been a point of attraction and curiosity from years. Director Tod Browning has once again traded the famous Dracula successfully on big screen. You may have seen other horror movies but Dracula was one of those vampire movies which will give you ultimate thrill with everlasting nail-biting experience. Dracula is one of the most famous vampire movies of all time.
Plot:
Solicitor Renfield (Dwight Frye) meets Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi) during his journey through Carpathian Mountains. Showing his interest in Cafax Abbey property, Dracula and his 3 wives attack Renfield and turn him into his servant. He arranges a trip to London for his master through a ship where Dracula kills the entire crew and the lone survivor Renfield was then sent to the sanatorium. In London, Dracula meets Seward family and sucks the blood of a family friend Lucy Weston, fascinated by Dracula. Next he targets Mina (Helen Chandler), daughter of Dr. Seward (Herbert Bunston) and fiancé of Jonathan Harker (David manners). Prof. Abraham Van Helsing (Edward Van Sloan) comes to help Seward family and to check the mysterious symptoms of Mina. He realizes the involvement of a vampire and warns the family. Together, Van Helsing and Harker save Mina from the Dracula after some fantastic horrifying action sequences and drama.
Conclusion:
Check out this smashing hit movie for a classy touch of 1930`s era, brilliant photography, all time horrifying character Dracula and the classic line, “I never drink…wine”. Acting is a bit theatrical but do not forget that this was the film which made members of the audience faint while screening.
